Scholarship
Gamma Phi Beta cultivates its members to excel in the classroom through
study hall sessions, monetary rewards for superb grade point averages, and
re-imbursements for half of all tutoring expenses. All of the time and hard
work has resulted in setting a new Psi chapter record-high GPA in fall 2006
and placing top 3 in grades among Panhellenic sororities in spring 2007.
Psi chapter also bestows annual scholarships to its members: the Dorothy Braly
Scholarships are awarded to a dozen recipients, and the Linda Clark Anderson
Scholarship is given to a senior. International Gamma Phi Beta awards a
scholarship to one outstanding Psi member each year along with other
scholarships.

Awards
At the University of Oklahoma, Gamma Phi Beta is one of only 3 houses to be
awarded a campus organization's highest honor, the President's Trophy. In spring
2006, the women were recognized for their excellence in academics and
multicultural involvement. Gamma Phi Beta currently leads the Greek Honor
Society, Order of Omega, with over 15 members initiated. These ladies were
selected due to their outstanding performances both inside and outside the
classroom. In 2007, Gamma Phi Beta was the only house who received an award
for Campus Involvement.

"Philanthropy is a kind heart and a desire to impact those around you. Gamma Phi has been such a blessing in my life that I want to give back to the community that fostered it." Past President Holly Roberts
Giving Back
Each fall the women of Gamma Phi Beta conduct the campus' largest philanthropic
activity: the Chili Cook-off, with proceeds benefiting the Norman United Way. Over
$8,000 was raised in 2006, with various campus groups cooking up their best chili
recipes for a panel of celebrity judges to rate. Hundreds of students and Norman
residents gathered at the chapter house to enjoy the food and festivities.
Gamma Phi Beta members participate in many Greek philanthropies every month in addition
to campus-sponsored community service activities such as the Big Event. For one of the
local events, the ladies along with the men of Tau Kappa Omega conducted a community-wide
canned food drive last November. The combined group effort donated over 2,000 cans to
the Norman Regional Food Bank just in time for the holiday season.
